If you have never been to a beach in Argentina during January, you might want to think twice before making your plans for the Dakar Rally. Mar Del Plata in particularly gets so jammed with people that it is sometimes hard to find a place on the beach to put your towel. There are other alternatives nearby, which are not so busy. I suggest Necochea, since the it is only a couple of hours away from Mar Del Plata and the rally is scheduled to pass through there. Dakar Rally 2012, Argentina
